How We Grow

Cultivating

Our fields are filled with perennial herbs that grow well in our zone, such as lemon balm, a variety of mints, and lavender. Every year, we start annual herb seeds in our greenhouse for planting out, such as tulsi, marshmallow, and ashwagandha. We grow dozens of different medicinal and culinary herbs!

We use sustainable farming practices, avoid pesticides, and use only organic fertilizers to ensure that our soil stays healthy for our rotating herbal crops.

Harvesting

Our herbs are hand-harvested with care and quickly moved into our drying room to minimize wilting and aging in the sun.

Processing

We dry our herbs in small-batches at temperatures around 100F, depending on the herb as well as the part of the plant being dried. Some herbs require lower temperatures to preserve their highest medicinal and flavor value, while roots must be dried at higher temperatures to ensure they are fully dried.

We chop roots and garble leaves and stems by hand to ensure plants are not bruised or crushed during processing.

Herbs are packaged with care in compostable packaging.

Grow Wild Herb Farm, LLC produces unique herbal tea blends with our locally grown herbs. On our farm, roots, stems, leaves and flowers are hand harvested and carefully dried, processed and packaged to preserve their highest quality.  There's an herbal tea for everyone, from delicious everyday blends like Enlightenmint and Summer Sun to medicinal blends like Nightcap and Mellow Belly!
